only one brake on a trailer?

I have brake issues on my trailer (dont we all?) This spring I was towing the boat to the marina for the spring launch and one of my brakes was dragging, so I cut the line to it.

Now its fall, and in 2 weeks I am pulling the boat back out of the water.

What would happen if I plugged the line I cut, bled the one remaining caliper, and ran it this way?

Dont be too rough on me..... thanks.

Just ordered all new Kodiak brakes, got calipers, pads, rotors, and all mounting brackets for $256 shipped to my house. Hope this cures my brake problems once and for all.

also when you park the boat, back farther than you need to, then pull forward to release the brakes, this really helps.

Thanks. My only concern is that I only use the trailer twice a year, can I spray the brakes/rotors with rust block or will this render the brakes useless?
