i have a 1978 85 hp chrysler outboard.<br />i removed the shift rod scew when i drained the oil last night and put back in and filled lower unit.then i saw in the manual that it was not the drain hole. it also sayas to put this screw back in you have to lay motor on its side. <br />this morning i went out and started the motor and tested the shifting . seams to be just fine .<br /><br />did i luck out and hit the hole or will i have problems when in the lake and not hooked to the hose
