I'm also new to the boat business. I have a "what I believe to be a 1975 Caravelle boat with a 175-190 hp OMC stern drive". I say it that way because I don't have any documents to support that.... Go figure. I had the lower end of the drive worked on about a year ago. And now trying to get the boat up and running again. I don't remember the correct way to start the motor out of the water with the garden home. I do have the female hose adapter, and know where to atttach it but want to make sure the water is circulated correctly. I don't know what the correct temps or anything. Ultimately I'm looking for an online service/operating manual for the boat and to nail down the exact specs for the boat. Thanks for any help
