It's a double edge sword, IMHO... Yes, it's good for victims, but I see it as 100% pure shameless self promotion on oprah's part... In the end, she will profit more because of it... <br /><br />Oprah would have my respect if she were to have remained, anonymous.... <br /><br />fire away...

The lady has done a lot of good in her time... including this. So she's rewarded for her good deed. Who cares? The money is needed now and she gave it up. Good for her. <br />How about this? If all the celebrities donated money it wouldn't be such a big deal... but they haven't.

she did not have to, I thank her that she did. any any all who donate thump their chest to some degree for their deeds. Be it us board members, other private civilians, or corporations. Consider the press releases that are issued saying so and so donated........

Oh, so they upped their donation from 15 minutes worth of profit to an hours worth. <br /><br />Even with all the donations the tax payers are going to have to pay for more than 99% of the reconstruction.
