Opinion 1989 Vision VIP

Hey guys, i need your opinion on a

1989 Vision VIP bowrider, 4cylinder Ford motor with OMC outdrive.

Im considering trading my snowmobile for this boat... but i know nothing about these boats/drive trains as i've only dealt with Mercury outboards...

Any opinions?? Current owner claims it needs a "u-joint" as it 'clicks' when turning left? Not quite sure as im unfamilar with inboards..

Just sell your snowmobile and go looking for a boat.......... Preferably one that doesn't have OMC anywhere on it!

The problem with the 2.3L, is it was only used for 3 years, and only by OMC. Aftermarket parts (Manifold and riser as an example) are non existant, and OMC went out of buisness over 10 years ago. So there are some parts that just can't be found any longer.
