did some searching but haven't seen anything on use of resistor plugs vs the regular! just wondering if they would have more of a chance of fouling over reg.? other than a better radio, good and bad? any input would be appreciated and thanks, Larry. ps my motor is a 1986 dt150 2 stroke suzuki which calls for regular plug in manual!!

Re: Opinion on resistor plugs vs reg. In 2 strokes???

Some Johnnys call for Q-supressor spark plugs, as regular plugs will interfere with their ign systems. Other that that, I do not remember any OBs calling for resistor plugs. I would think the resistors weaken the spark, which is not a good idea. I have never had radio issues with regular plugs on boats, likely because I never listen to the radio (music or VHF) with the motor running. Of course all the boats I have had were open and the wind noise was worse than any ign interference.
