Opinion on two different OEM Johnson manuals

I need help in purchasing a manual for my newly acquired Johnson 25 hp TECTE 1983 motor. I have an option on two different looking 1983 manuals which are not Seloc or other such manuals. The cover of one says EVINRUDE JOHNSON Service Manual in black and white. The other manual says OMC Service Manual 2 thru V-6 Models and is in a three ring binder with a color front page. Which is the preferred manual and why? I have included pictures. Ther is a greater cost for the 3 ring binder. Thanks for your help

You probably won't need the color manual in the 3 ring binder as it covers alot of motors. The first one should have all the info you need.

The Black and white one is advertised as SERVICE MANUAL-1983 E/J 2 THRU V-6 MODELS. This is why I am wondering if one is better(More complete) than the other. What do you think? Has anyone had experience with these manuals? They are hard to find.

Those manuals may be perfectly good but I've always used the OEM Factory Service Manuals. Who publishes them ??

I may be interested is the 3 ring binder manual if you don't buy it as i get frustrated having to return to my laptop to look up anything. Shoot me a PM if you like.

You would be better off getting the model specific service manual from Ken Cook Co. - Complete Product Documentation, Technical Writing, and Literature Fulfillment Services or www.marineengine dot com rather than one that covers a whole slew of motors,they would end up not being much better than Clymer or Seloc,believe me ,I've been there and done that.
