I took a look today at a 1991 Nitro 180 TF with a Johnson GT 150. The boat really is in pretty good condition. Very clean, new carpet and seats, clean hull and compartments. The hull has some stress cracks around the transom area but appear to surface gel cracks only. The Motor fired up nicely and ran well after warming up (hadn't been started in over a year). No leaks in the boat according to the owner...
Anyway I was wanting some info, possible concerns, warnings etc. on this boat if anyone is familiar with it... Especially the hull/transom & engine...
The owner is asking $5,400 which I won't pay that much. Maybe you have a better guess on it's value..

Thanks for any help in advance.

Well, when I had my '95 ranger at the tracker place for repower--the mech. there could not believe my boat had no stress cracks--he said the nitros come in all the time with them. I would personally stay away from any boat with wood in the transom or stringers.

Thanks Redneck,

I did some checking also with some repair specialists and they they didn't have a good opinion of the boat either... It's too bad, because I truely think the owner took good care of it and put some time in interior restoration....

I'll keep looking....
