Opinions wanted

Hello all, I have just been given the opportunity to purchase a 91 lowe 205 20 ft pontoon at a good price and just dont know if I want it or not. I have a 69 richline 14ft v with an 70 evinrude 18 now and primarily fish for catfish on small to medium size lakes in Kansas. Can i go back into shallow coves with a pontoon (3-4')? Will it handle ok on choppy water? Was just hoping to get some opinions before I bought it. thanks

Pontoon will handle shallow water very well ... choppy water not as well. But inland lakes typically don't generate enough chop to worry about with a Pontoon. I like fishing off a 'toon, but a rowboat is my favorite. YMMV.
