My exahust as you'll see in the video sits at the water line. Half of the exhaust is like above the water line and have is in the water, it's got a nice tone to it in the water but I wish it was a couple inches higher so I get the complete roar of the 350 v8.

anything I can do? do they make some kinda attachments to bring the exhaust exits above the water more?

thanks

get some polished stainless steel tubing with a 90* mandrel bend.
hook up to the existing exit point and run them straight up with flapper caps on top.
kind of like stacks on pick up truck.
you would have to have then compound bent to fit between the platforms and lower unit but i think it would look great.
it's not like they would be sticking out or anything, looks like they would blend in well.

Ayuh,...

Haven't you already asked this question before,..?? I seem to remember already answering it....

As I said before,...
If you put Any Up-angle on the exhaust,...
The Water will run Back Into your motor.....

Besides,...
As soon as there's forward motion to the hull,...
The Exhaust Tips will be Out of the water,+ the NOISE you're looking for will be there.....

i perfer to hear the engine caddy at idle and low speeds which I don't really get now though.

if I did anything I think i'm smart enough to make it where water can't run into the engine...:)

here we go again lol.. more fighting

Weider im not a pro so maybe my advice won't help at all but im gunna try .. can you put like 2 small 90's closer to the engine so that the exhaust pipe is higher than sort of angle it down at a slight angle but enough where water cant go up it.. . . but than you would have to cut new holes and fix the old ones.. thats all i can think of right now but like i said im still a newbie.. but ill think of some more ideas today

Wow your a bit of an ***** aren't you?

Simply as the answer is you need a different exhaust if you want it higher.

Look into some headers.

Hey maybe check out a marine exhaust manufacturer.

But there is no need for a raging attitude.

Do some research before you ask the same question over, we get it you didn't find some half *****ed way to jury rig your boat up in a way that would not work and you haven't put forth any effort to actually attempt to solve it for yourself.

Try google.

I think that would be a lot of work to simply move them up? You would have to patch the transom where the old exhaust went through, replumb the new, and then cut the transom for the new. Is it worth that effort for the sound?

Isn't the exhaust out of the water when under way?

Not sure I understand why you want to go through the trouble?

Just ignore Boondo, OMC derangement syndrome. :)

1000 bucks is a small price to pay for more decibles, just ask a Harley Rider lol. not much for power but the sound is where it's at, could this fit your description? Oh and believe me I'm no stranger to the sound of a well tuned way over advanced V-8 idling with open headers, I have a captains call ON MY CAR!
