Optimax 115 - idle running erractically

Hi<br /><br />I have a one year old Optimax 115. As told by the manual I changed spark plugs, air and gas filter for this season.<br /><br />Now it runs erractically in idle and when shifting in to gear it some times dies.<br /><br />What should I look for??<br /><br />yours<br /><br />Jan <br />Denmark

Look carefully at your cable adjustments.Everything needs to return to it's stop as well as advance there as well.Batteries need to be very healthy and fully charged with good sparkley clean terminal connections everywhere,and the shortest run possible.When you changed the fuel filter,did you fill it with fuel before installing it?

The mystery solved - almost.<br /><br />I went back and check on the spark plugs and one of them (a brand new Iridium to 25 USD) was now black with dirt. I changed that spark plug and it now runs beautiful again. The two other spark plugs was clean as they should be (being brand new).<br /><br />The only problem; what caused the dirt in the cylinder! I am hoping that it was a "once-in-a-lifetime.<br /><br />regards<br /><br />jan
