Hey all, i have been doing tons of searching but with very little luck. I just bought a very clean 1988 sunliner with a pcm4140 2.6 mitsubishi engine and i am trying to find out what the original prop would have been, it did come with two props both 15x17 lh. They do work fine but i have had a couple other boaters tell me that they are to large for this application. Any info on these props or this boat will be appreciated.

thanks

Re: original prop size, need help please

If you get us the wot rpm and gps speed for each prop and the size and weight of the Sunliner it would help tell how it performs with the present setup.
While there probably is a base line prop the prop needed would depend on the typical needs, load, activities, water sports or speed requirements.
At 25 years old it may require a little less prop.

Thanks for the response, the existing prop works well and i can cruise easily at 4000 rpm at 30 mph and it tows the tube nice so no real issues but i am really curious on what originally came with the boat but that info seems really hard to come by.

thanks bruce
