I was wondering ir there is anywhere i can find the original plans or prints on a
1988 250 Searay Cuddy i have read that on transum repair is straight forward
but that the stringers that connect the transum to the first bulk head in the engine
compartment lays directly on the hull and is not suspended a 1/4" or so
i haven't began to rip out the old stringers yet i don't want to dive into anything without
knowing exactly what's inside or should be inside any one have experience with this boat
thanks Roy

Good luck, they most likely never existed, even at searay. Cut the floor out, document what is there and rebuild

You'll never find any. AS stated rip it out, take lots of pics and measurements, and put her back like she was.

Yes more pictures and measurements every single step of the way. It seems intimidating when your starting. But by the time it is all out you know your boat by heart.

Take measurements from the transom forward At deck level. I had a few from the bow hallway back and that muddied up some things a while.

There is a member here who was working on a SeaRay 270 and got some drawings directly from SeaRay. So, you could try contacting SeaRay. BUT as the others have stated, just about everybody does these repairs by documenting the boat themselves through measurements, pictures, etc.

Post some pictures of what you are seeing so we can see it too.

Hello Roy,

we are currently rebuilding a 1987 Sea Ray CC. the stringer in the engine compartment were not touching the hull and were not very well glassed either.
As every one said taking pictures and measurement during deconstruction is pretty easy and on our boat the wood reinforcement is really easy layout. It may be a bit more complicated on yours as it is a little bigger but should not be rocket science :)

Check our google drive in signature and you will find picture of the deconstruction steps.

Hope to see pics of your work soon.
