Ouch! That's gonna leave a mark

I was bumped by another boat and it looks like I need to learn how to do some gelcoat repair. If my pics attach correctly you can see the gelcoat damage. What you can't see is a 4 inch crack that I can feel on the inside gunwale. I have not done any type of repair like this and I have questions.

1. I'm sure the gelcoat has faded some since 1994, is there a way to match the color?
2. What about that crack, can I use epoxy or do I need to fiberglass it?

I welcome all suggestions.

You might get better luck in the restoration forum. I know a lot of guys do stuff like this all the time.

This is on the starboard side stern, just above the fuel tank vent. Another view might help. I'll post on the restoration fourm too, that's a good idea.
