Just picked this up.1986 searay 268 weekender engine has bearing knock fixing this week.Then off to buy a heavier tow vechile to haul her around

looks well care for. nice boat. be nice to the fishermen and don't swamp them. would make one heck of a wake board boat, because they can throw a really big wake.

Mainly got it for fishing the delaware bay and the indian river inlet and maybe some offshore fishing when the weather is right

Looks really nice! What kind of tow vehicle are you thinking of? A dually would work well.

well my current tow vechile for or other boat ia an 94 awd astro van.Which ain't going to work for this boat..Then were looking at the chevy 1/2 ton ext cab pickups.Which would be right it's limit.The guy we boat the boat from used a ext ford 150 to tow from pa to maryland with it.I would prefer atleast 3/4 ton truck min.I found a nice chevy crewcab daully with 6foot bed and a 454 big block which would pull that boat no problem..I work backwards...lol bought the boat before getting a tow vechile...lol The seller was nice and he delivered the boat to my house.We would like to get her in the water but i knew it needed engine work first so there no real rush to have a new tow truck yet...Worse case i'll just buy a beat up 3/4 or 1 ton truck just to haul it the local lake for the time being..

we towed ours with the work truck for over a year, it was a 92 surburban, boy is it raggedy on the inside. just got the 99 surburban, thats like new.
