out -board ?

All I have on this motor is a serial#1971510 on the engine, transom # TS16-2437, and the boat "Alpex Sea Aira can any one help with model # and name. Sorry no pictures yet. thanx P.S. i believe it is a johnson.

To identify a Johnson or Evinrude you need the model number from the plate on the transom clamp bracket.

If you are saying that is TS16-2437 then can it be TS15 ? that would make it a 5hp Johnson from 1941 - 42
