out drive oil

I have a 1986 350 merccruiser with a alpha 1 out drive how many ounces of lower unit oil does it take any suggestions on what kind i should put in it

Ayuh,..... Ya gotta buy 2 quarts, as 1 won't do it,... you'll have some left,....

Ya can't go wrong with the Merc. Hi-performance gear oil,...
It's a dyed Syn-oil of 75W-90,....

I use Mobil 1, 75W-90,.... just no dye, light amber color,...

Make sure you also ordered the pump that you need to fill the drive from the bottom unless you already had it.
