I have a 1994 21ft Donzi 210 medallion 5.7 mercruiser I/O cuddy cabin. I am fairly new to boating & really know nothing about engines, my problem is that the cert pump went & shot water all over the engine. The high & dry mech. ran an annual service while fixing the pump, the compression readings were as follows: <br /><br />#1 35, #2 0, #3 50, #4 70, #5 150, #6 0, #7 90, #8 155 <br /> <br />He stated that the after removing the spark plugs he found that the cylinders were full of water caused by exhaust manifolds & risers corroded .<br /><br />He quoted me more & I took a second opionion from another buddy who is famaliar in this type of boat motor. the only problem is that the boat wouldn't turn over while he was over. I know the battery was fine, & starter sounded ok, there was no water in the oil..just no go...... ceased I guess. I am wondering if I should try to pin point the problem by trying to redo the whole thing or just buy a new rebuild I dont have much time to work with & thought i would ask for some good advice.<br /><br />thank you in advance & best regards<br />Matt
