Outboard 2 stroke oil?

I have been using one brand of oil for along time. I recently was giving a different brand by a local oil company to try. I have run the other oil until the low oil warning sound starts. Is it ok to mix the new oil with whats left of the old oil?

Shouldn't be a problem but you won't know how the engine truely performs until the old oil is completely gone.

You likely are not gonna notice a diference, but should be fine to just pour it in. What oil did you use, and what is the new brand? Chief

Mixing oils can give you problems.Not so much in warm weather but in cold.I had some oils gel up after mixing in cold weather,I live down in the south.It cost me a new power head.Now,out with the oil injection and mix!That was done after the engine warrant went out!

I ended up taking the reserve out and emptying it completely. Then I put the new oil in. I hope it works good. If so all I need is a sticker and I get free oil. I love fishing!
