outboard engine block needed

does anyone have a block for an 86 xr4 150 merc ? must be standard size bore. i have a hole in mine & need another one or a top notch outboard block welder in or around somerset or danville ky. thanks

I did some checking, we don't have one of these, sorry. However, there were 3 different powerheads for this motor, and this one was the worst. It should be possible to exchange one of the other powerheads (XR6) which was a much better powerhead. THe XR4 is probably not worth the expense, as it is kind of doggy and trouble-prone, and you would probably be better off replacing the whole motor, as opposed to rebuilding this one. Also, it is NLA, so you can't get an OEM, but there are after market ones availble.
