After flushing my 25 HP Johnson (2002) the day before yesterday, I noticed what looks like oil (its dark brown) leaking out below the prop onto the prop protector directly below it. It had been sitting for about a month before I flushed it but after sputtering a few times and stalling out, it had started right up. I ran it about 7 mintues before killing the engine. I didn't notice any immediate leakage. But that evening I wiped off a little (with about a half dollar sized puddle on the driveway under the prop, and the same thing I saw this morning). <br /><br />Is this old gas which has discolored, or is it oil? I think the 2 cycle marine oil is blue and gets mixed with the gas. THis was brown and I only saw it on the prop protector, which made me think it was coming out from around the prop?<br /><br />I'm planning to take the boat out on a small trip this weekend, and want to be confident I'm not going to have a problem.
