Saved this baby from the crusher. Unusual in Sweden, newer seen it before. It should feel at home among my Johnson outboards. Furthermore: it runs very well.
Any idea how old it is?

Those used to be 2 cyccle and they also used to route the exhaust into the cutting deck which made them real quiet.

Yes, it's two-stroke. That's why it is so light. The exhaust is down to the cutting deck but it is not quiet by any means. Actually it makes a lot of racket. Not a problem for me, living in the countryside.

I would guess 1960's as well, the color has me a bit askew as they were always painted green here. Good mowers if you can work with them.
Quite an oddity in Sweden I imagine, all the way from Waukegan IL.

Not quite Waukegan IL.
Licence built in Belgium, Europe. Like many of the outboards, but hopefully still with the quality we expect from the Johnson/Evinrude brand.
