Good day. For my knowledge base, would an outboard motor run hotter or cooler if the mix is lets say 32:1 instead of the regular 50:1 mix ?? Tx

rofl JB. (I did get involved in a post where it was said that more oil results in a leaner fuel/air mix, it perplexed me (easy to do tho!) kinda like an enigma, wrapped in mystery, shrouded by fog. (not sure what i just typed......but i was tryin to say it makes no sense! lol)

pecheux, i realize you were just asking a question, my comment was about another poster....same topic, that stated adding more oil results in a leaner mix.....which should cause higher engine temps. but in my experience, it does the opposite. (does my blackberry qualify as a mini computer?lol)

nwcove, admitedly my question was unclear, I accidently ran a 32:1 mix and my motor which calls for 50:1 and it seemed to run rough at idle and the water coming out of the outlet seemed hotter than usual. Maybe all my imagination. Big of you to write back. Have a great day.
