Hey guys i'm new here and kinda new to owning a boat but the site seems very helpfull so far. I just bought a 1860 SC Grizzly Tracker with a 50 HP Mercury 4 Stroke and a Trail Star trailer. My question is that when i'm pulling the boat the outboard wants to turn the the left even with a transom saver. Right now I am using a bungee to hole the steering wheel in place. Is there some way to fix that problem or do I just have to deal with it. I know several people with boats and they dont have this problem. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

That's what I do. The your steering head may have a tension adjustment. The steering head is under the dash.

Some engines have a steering tension screw adjustment. Not sure about your Merc.
