1999 suzuki DT 115S 2 stroke overheating at mid range. 2000-3500 rpm horn sounds off rpms shut down and steam comes out exhaust. Runs fine at idle speed and top end. Changed water pump, thermostat, head gasket, head cover gasket, exhaust gaskets. Problem still continues.Any suggestions?

Re: outboard overheating

Was the impeller intact upon removal? If not, pieces of the old impeller may have gotten lodged in the cooling passages.

Also, are you sure the grommet on the copper water tube pick-up didn't get pinched upon reassembly? Also, you may try back-flushing the cooling system from the thermostats.

Re: outboard overheating

A little history on your problem would help greatly.
