I'll try! The bottom of the flywheel has either 2 or 4 Magnets on it. On the armature plate, below the flywheel, there is a Stator coil(s). As the flywheel magnets rotates past the Stator, it creates alternating current, which is then sent to the rectifier. The rectifier converts the A/C current to D/C current, which is what you wind up using to charge Batteries and Power other accesories on the boat.
