I noticed after a day or so the 90hp yamaha outboard drops down and rests against the stop.
The engine is 13 years old and service or repair unknown. what is allowable or normal, or is there an issue with the ram or seals?
the sea trial was pretty short and did not notice any change in trim during the test. I noticed the drop when I had the engine vertical, and it slowly moved down over a few days to the stop.

should I be dropping the engine all the way down when it`s resting in the driveway?

no it should not leak down, but if you do not have to keep trimming it while running I would not worry with it at this point
