I've purchased new wire to build a harness for my 66' Johnson 40hp Big Twin.

I'm looking for recommendations on what to use for a conduit to bundle the wires from the stock Junction box w/solenoid, through the engine well, to the engine. I should be flexible and Ozone resistant probably 1" or so ID.

The Harness I have is about 6-8' long and is in a thin-walled black rubber tube to the engine.

I have 4ga red & black battery cables and I decided on a 16/4 Cord with red, black, white and green. I need 2 black wires for kill switch, White for protected start (neutral safety, Cutout, temperature switches) and a lt-brown or orange wire for Electric choke (not currently working). No need for generator wires, I don't have one.

I had a dockmate who renovated his cruiser, and he used gray PVC electrical conduit as wire chases.

They make a black plastic tubular mesh as well. A lot of outboard OEMs use it.

Dingbats suggestion is a good one. However, I have had that kind of tubing fail from the sun in a year or so. Make sure it is UV resistant.
