Outboard won’t trim down enough

Hey I seem to be a bit stuck here. I spent the last year rebuilding a boat. I rebuilt the motor aswell however it was not original with the hull.

Motor is a 105 Chrysler with a jet foot

Boat I think is a fibre form Monterey, previous owner had a evenrude 115, this was not included with the sale.

See attached photo, yes I know the motor is way to low but that’s how I kind of found out it won’t trim down any further.

Yes I’m sure the trim has seated in the lowest position.

Ayuh,....... Goin' from a prop to a jet, you might need to cut down the transom to make it work,......
With the clutter in the picture, it's hard to tell,....

Yeah the river in my area is better run with a jet. Actually the transom needs to be raised, jet intake is sitting about 4” too low.


Incase anyone in the future is wondering I think I solved my problem with “transom wedges” search it up.

Looks like a jack plate that the motor is hung on . Does that not raise or lower the motor ? I would start with getting the correct height first .

Yes it does but it’s maxed out on height. It was originally set for the prop. I have to remove and raise it a bit, then the jackplate will have enough movement to allow to me switch between prop and jet.
