Re: Outboardjim

Hi dornoc.

You must run in saltwater a little? To flush the engine, it has to be running. You must use flushetts in the drive way and the neighbors complain? To much noise and pollution I bet. I could make it worse for ya' and bring my 150 Rude over and crank it up. Givem' something to really complain about!! Just kidding!! :D :D :D

You could try putting a large garbage can under the lower unit and filling it with water. This would keep the noise down some but would be really a pain in the patut to do every time ya got home from the water and you would have to keep the hose going into it. I heard about a device here on the forum once that was supposed to reduce noise while flushing your engine but can't remember who posted or when. Let me run a search and I'll get back to ya'. :p

Re: Outboardjim

OK Dornoc....check Overtones Catalog. They are supposed to have a device for flushing engines quietly. Or just jump over to their web site at www.overtons.com. Hope we have helped.
