I use Interlux Trilux Prop And Drive in the aerosol can on my Volvo Penta outdrive.

I read the can 2 times, but is there a time limit to when I can splash this after I paint?

I want to paint it as soon as I get it back together but it problably won't launch until a month or so later.

Is this ok? I know my hull bottom paint warns to only paint if your launching within 30 days.

Thanks for any advice. I have a great weather window approaching and would love to get this done, Maine weather is so up and down.

I think you'd be okay, but you should try the Interlux web site, or give them a call to be sure.

Ablative Antifouling paints do not have time limits on launching. TriLux is ablative.

I also recommend you use up and ditch the non-ablative stuff you are using on the hull and get some ablative AF Paint next time. You can get two or more years out of a single application of ablative paint, and it is just a bit more $ than the single season stuff.

What kind of outdrive, aluminum or composite (XDP)?

Aluminum drives may require prep.
