Outdrive Identification

I have recently purchased a 1994 Four Winns that originally had a OMC 305 and outdrive in it. At some point some one switched it over to an older Mercruiser 5.7 and a mercruiser outdrive. By the casting numbers on the block the engine is a mid 70's era. I know the outdrive is older than an alpha one because it has the ring on top of the outdrive, but I'm not sure what it is exactly. The number stenciled on the side of the outdrive is 4674799. If some one could help me out I would appreciate it. Thanks.
