I have an 84 Invader that is leking water from I assume the outdrive. The bilge pump turns on every five minutes or so and runs for about 30 seconds. I looked and cant find where the leak is coming from. Where should I look first? It's realy hard to see if it's one of the rubber tubes or?

Re: Outdrive leaking water

If you run it in your driveway on muffs and the bilge pump still comes on it could be in your exhaust system or a cracked block of manifold.
If it does it in the water even with the engine off I would look carefully at your bellows both drive and shift cable as well as your transom plug. If all else fails plug your boat on land and fill (do not get the starter wet) and look outside the boat to find where it is leaking from.
I once had a bolt come loose on one of my bunks, rub a hole in the bottom of my hull and had a heck of a time finding the leak until I filled the boat with water.
