I have a 1971 Reinell 19'. the outdrive is missing almost all the tilt parts. What is there is a 1/4 gear on the port side, and there are no visible data plates, or numbers. how can I find out what it is, and where to get the missing pieces?

There should be some numbers on the engine plate that mean something to the right people as far as outdrive is concerned.

What brand outdrive, year?

DougV>

If you mean you can see a toothed gear on the port side about a foot in size it's probably an OMC Stringer. If so, parts are rare but still avaiable. Is the hole in the transom huge and round?

Mike,
yes it is that type of gear, it also has an OMC aux motor mount for an outboard, so, I thought the drive unit might be the same.

Doug,
will have to check for that data plate, as far as I know everything is original (1971)
