Outdrive pressure testing

I assume that pressure testing the outdrive only tells you that the gear lube system is sealed. How can one tell if the water pump housing is leaking or not? I followed the service manual and torqued everything to spec, the only thing I did different was use Permatex aviation gasket sealant instead of the Mercury Perfect Seal.

Any help is appreciated.

Oh ya forgot to mention I did an impeller change. And the drive pressure tested ok.

Run it on the muffs and look for water coming from places it shouldn't...
