outdrive question

i just have one question about oils. I have a 2.1L aq125A w/270 o/d. Manual says 10w40 for the oil in the engine and o/d is same viscosity and quality. Now i live in ontario canada and do use it when the water is colder, what should i use in the o/d for oil? 10w40, 10w30, or straight 40 or 30 weight oil? This boat is new to me so any insight would be great.

10W 30 or straight 30W either one.
