OUtdrive ratio

I have a 1988 chaparral Which I put a 1998 mercruiser 5.0 2 barel carb engine into. Was wondering what the ratiio of the outdrive should be. The one on it is a 1.50. I am having problems aquiring WOT. I also printed out Dons advice on the other WOT posts and noticed wrong ratio is a possability. thanks Dean

Ok Haut thaks for your reply I didnt think it would be different being I only gained about 20 horses.
