Outdrive won't trim down at speed.

Have to slow waay down to get the outdrive to trim down. then I can get going again. trims up no problem. You figure it would be the opposite since the pressure is pushing downward anyway. Any guesses?
Hard to troubleshoot on the trailer or even sitting still in the water because it works fine otherwise.
Oh - boats an 88 Seaswirl Spyder 202 / 5.7l V8 / Cobra outdrive.

Is your trim button on the control. If so, does it have anything to do with the control position?

When you are out of the water have someone stand on the drive while you operate it....simulate a load.

Yeh exactly what I was thinking to try. Ill get 'er figured out. I doubt its anything too serious.
