over heatin engine and the feet stay engage ?

i try my engine on the water and after 1/2 hrs they have some white smoke come frome engine and i think is the feet ave somethink broken they stay engage someome cant helt me???

Go to the bottom of this web page and buy a manual.<br /><br />You probably need to replace the water pump impeller on the lower unit (requires removing the lower unit).<br /><br />Are you saying that the engine won't change gears?
