I need help my 1986 Bayliner capri with 2.3 Volvo penta motor (inboard/outboard) Motor is overheating. I took it to the lake today and drove it for 5 minutes I noticed that the boat is losing power from the start and temp. went really high I turned off the boat I was afraid it would ruin the engine so I had somebody tow my boat back to launching area. After couple of hours i tried again while the boat still in the launching area and same thing It's over heating. It seems like the motor it's not sucking water :( Anybody had this problem? Any parts should I check and change? Thanks!

Ever replace the raw water pump impeller?

Sounds like water pump impeller time. Might want to take a trip to the Adults Only thread and download a free manual. Here is the link, Thanks to Don S. You probably should look in #11 on the list.
