Pulled orange wire from harness and touched it to the motor, no noise, I thought that was the procedure to test it?

Hi,

My manual states that the procedure is to turn the ignition switch ON (make sure, of course, the battery is hooked up), take a screwdriver and connect the orange wire to the nearest spark plug. The buzzer should come on.

Shane

Yes, as long as the ignition is on, it should be sounding-off when the wire is toiuched to motor ground.
If it does not, you have a defective buzzer,or wire going to it, or from the postive to the buzzer.
Any 12 Volt buzzer will werk. A buddy with a Contender had some heavy duty backround noise to overcome, so he hooked a car alarm up to the leads.
