2005 Larson, Senza 186, 5.0GL-E, originally overheated because my impeller gave (Changed), water was dripping from the raw water pump so I changed the seal (still leaked) then the pump. Ran the boat in the driveway at 3000 RPM for like 20-30 minutes temp was fine at 150, cycle to 160 and back to 150.
Ok, so I took it out to the river, was running fine at 150/160, decidied it was fine so off we went. About 30-40 minutes later (way down the river) she decides to over heat to almost 200 but I pulled over and shut her down. Waited for awhile and decided to jump from beach to beach and she is now back at 150/160 running fine, but no big load on. Stopped for awhile again and the leave after like 2 hours and about 10 minutes later as we are headed for our last leg, starts to heat up to 180 where she stays for the next 20 minutes until the marina.
Any ideas, I am thinking Thermastat, and flush out the system, maybe thinking parts of impeller are in there.
