I have a 86 sea ray Seville. Merc 170 3.7 alpha 1 outdrive. I am having an over heating problem only at higher rpm. I have Replaced the impeller in the outdrive the thermostat I have pulled the heat exchanger all hoses and check for blockage I can’t find blockage anywhereI remove the riser from the exhaust manifold check all the ports that are visible everything looks clean no sign of corrosion there is no water in the oil Motor runs perfect until I try to go on a plane and cruise around then it quickly heats up when I run in the driveway driveway with the earmuffs it does not overheat I cannot figure this out I have read a ton of threads on other pages in this one but none have come to a conclusion does anybody have any advice I also checked the exhaust or blockage I Can’t find anything that is restricted I am new to this kind of stuff so if this is in the wrong place I apologize any help would be greatly appreciated

The impeller is not the only "pump" in the system.

The boat is 34 years old. Has the water pump ever been changed?
