I ran my boat onto a sandbar and sucked up a considerable amount of sand into the cooling system. I flushed it several times and a lot of sand came out. I then inspected the water-pump and changed it. When I got back onto the water to test it, it overheated again after about 1 mile, operating at 3/4 throttle. I again flushed the cooling system and noticed water coming from these areas on the outboard (See attached photos). My question is this. Is water supposed to be coming out of these areas (marked with an "A" in the photos) when flushing the cooling system? I also noticed water coming out of these areas when I test ran the engine at home (hooked to a motor flusher). I did not run it at home long enough for it to overheat, but it did on the water.
