hey there JB, question for you ...<br /><br />who is in charge of the naming process? Ancient Mariner, Tackle Shop Admiral, etc etc ...<br /><br />As you may have surmised from my many posts about past boats, SeaMaster was the one I spent most of my childhood on, and in honor of that, SeaMasterZ is my Master Screen Name on AOL<br /><br />Would it be possible to have SeaMasterZ instead of Admiral? Who would I write to about that possibility?<br /><br />thanks for any info you can provide!<br /><br />Ray<br /><br />PS it will also be the name of the SeaCraft should I ever get it back in the water!

Just my .02 worth here Ray, but the way I hear it, you are giving special name after 3000 posts.<br /><br />There have been a couple exceptions, but they are rare.

As far as I know, Ray, Sloopy is the only guy who got an honorary title (Dock Boy) before he had 3000 posts.<br /><br />As SBN mentions, Dock Boy is a special case.

ah, ok, I saw that Outboard Jim had 1600 and was a Tackle Shop Admiral and miloman had "hey kid get my boat over here", i thought that the magic point was 1000, lol, hey, I get easily confused by such things<br /><br />ah well .. this was my iboat summer, now that the diploma chase is back in force, the posting will dramatically decrease<br /><br />The party is over, reality resumes, lol, between winter break and spring break and summer 2004 ... well, by god, 2004 I hope I have no posts cept for good fishing spots posts, lol<br /><br />Ill have SOMETHING in the water, even if I have to lash logs together!!!!<br /><br />
