Paint and decal graphics

I'm working on a 15 trihull restoration and now is painting decision time. We will take the top of the boat off so I figure we should paint it before we put in the stringer and floor board. Is that the correct sequence. On the painting I thought it might be easier if I paint the boat white (bottom half) and add in some decal graphics. The top half might be another color. I'm curious to know if these grahpic decal that you paste on will last? I guest it's the same stuff boat numbers/name use so they should stand up pretty good. Any recommendation on where I can get some decal graphics. Thanks.

In answer to the Graphics ?,<br />My friend in the Sign Biz says the guarantee on the vinyls used is 3 to 7 years, <br />Depending on the grade of vinyl.....
