Paint color

My old boat had a 1998 Johnson Ocean Pro that was painted white.
My new boat has a 1999 Johnson Ocean Pro that is painted a dark grey.
Is the only difference the paint color or is there some other significance to the
different colors?

You might post the model numbers of the two motors. The G series can be different from the J series. Let's not talk about the F series.

J series is plain vanilla motor, F is FITCH, G and S are different, maybe high output or other feature, depending on the year.
