I have just bought a 73' model boat with a evinrude on it. The motor is gold and white. I have never seen this color on a evinrude and am wanting to put it to original. If anyone knows where I can go to find out what color it is supposed to be or if you have a pic of one or know where to find a pic it would be much appreciated. I am really wanting to make it look nice.

I had a '73 Evinrude Triumph 65hp and it was painted a green shade. My buddy had the same engine, same year, but his was blue. We were told the the green engines were assembled in Canda and the blue motors were assembled in Australia. Don't know how much truth is in that though.

Here's a link to the 1971 Evinrude catalog but I'm not sure whether the '73 models were the same colour. They seemed to change them a lot...
1971 Evinrude Catalog

It's from the following website - but it doesn't have any Evinrudes newer than 1971.

Website for old Johnsons & Evinrudes
