The current paint job is peeling and showing in places the previous 2 colors it was painted. Any ideas for a cheap paint job that will make it look good? My idea is not to put a lifetime paint job on it, but to put a decent coat of paint on it that will not set me back too much because I am looking to sell it. Thanks
KarricK

Re: Paint for John Boat?

go to lowes and ck in paint dept they have a paint called valspar that works good on aluminum
Use their primer and use ziloa thinner and don't thin but with about two ounces of thinner with quart of paint
get you a 8 oz can of hardener and put 2 oz to quart of paint, will cost less then 75 to do this
btw let primer dry for at least a week before sanding down for paint and will take a week for final coat of paint to cure
I know this works and looks good because i have did this
