Paint on head exhaust ports

just want to ask if the majority removes the paint on the head exhaust ports before they bolt the manifolds on with a gasket?
The shop that did my heads painted them , along with the head. Not the intake side. These are v8 305 heads.

Nope, just whack to gaskets straight on.
